A work based on the "harmonic decomposition of the square" 2025 Watercolor on Arches paper 108/158 cm When I discovered Ghika's constructions depicting spirals, I immediately sensed the infinite possibilities of this form. I painted it while reading Akhmatova's poetry, listening to Homer's songs, and reflecting on these words: "Isn't there, here and there, a whole marvelous interplay of possibilities between a highly controlled gesture and a geometry that attempts to make us forget its rigor?" (Interview with M. Barré, C. Bonnefoi, 1974).
